From the fall of 2005 until May of this year I had the privilege of serving in full time ministry with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Beth and I made 7 temporary moves within North America and I had the opportunity to travel to many more cities helping in the work of proclamation evangelism. I have the utmost respect for the ministry of Dr. Billy Graham and consider my season of ministry with the BGEA one of the greatest experiences of my life. My time serving with the great men and women in that ministry truly shaped me and taught me more about both shepherding and evangelizing than any seminary class I ever took.
I am so excited about the My Hope America Outreach coming up next Thursday, November 7. God has given Dr. Graham one more message of hope for America and over the past couple of months, at his home in Montreat NC, he has been filming this power packed message about the cross of Jesus. Billy Graham will celebrate his 95th birthday on November 7 and so it’s fitting that this nationally aired broadcast would air on that particular evening.
I have already seen the 30 minute video and it truly is the most powerful presentation of the Gospel I have ever witnessed. I think it’s nearly impossible for any non-Christian who watches this presentation of the Gospel to not be deeply moved by the way it is produced and by the message of the Cross.
If you live in the Charlotte area, UpsideDown Church is providing you an opportunity to be a part of this movement before the nationally aired broadcast. On Wednesday, November 6, at 6:30- 8:00 PM, UDC will be hosting the Night of Hope at Brookstone School (2414 Lester St, Charlotte). We will be providing a good meal, be showing Dr. Graham’s latest message, and then we will give everyone in attendance the opportunity to trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Please plan to attend this special night and, most importantly, please plan to bring a friend that needs to hear the message of Jesus Christ. We are praying and believing for souls to be saved! This is a very unique opportunity for all of us to participate in the Great Commission together. Whether you are a member or regular attender of UDC or just a friend of our ministry, please join with us for this historic night!
If you’re reading this and you’re not in the Charlotte area, plan on inviting friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers to your house on November 7th to watch this state of the art Gospel presentation with you. The broadcast schedule and more information is available at www.billygraham.org.
Join me in praying and believing that God will use this to draw multitudes of people in this nation back to Himself through faith in the cross of Jesus Christ.
